Through the projection of a series of concentric rings on the cornea we obtain a three-dimensional representation of the surface: the topographic map.
The examination is fundamental in the study of any corneal pathology (e.g. keratoconus), in the application and control of the use of contact lenses and in the monitoring of any refractive surgery.
